PAINTING > dots|grids|lace

Acrylic ink on canvas and paper and enamel on aluminum are based on networks of small marks, dots, dashes, and blips that refer to baroque sensibilities that are dizzying and complex. Definition and dissolution are reconciled in forms that could be stars or cells that collide and overlap in a holistic entirety.

Earlier paintings are detailed representations of 18th c. lace patterns that create a linear fields. Acrylic on canvas painting are constructed as if warp and weft are slightly skewed.
