PAINTING
I have made paintings for five decades. My work has varied in intent, medium and scale from small egg-temperas to wall-sized oils on canvas, and mid-scale watercolors, gouache, and acrylic and ink on paper and panel. Subject matter has included plants, kabuki theater, structure in pre-Renaissance paintings, physics diagrams, Baroque imagery, lace, sea creatures, doodles and human substructures. My art is steeped in feminist theory and sensibilities of contemporary Gothic and Baroque. I am a maximalist at heart.
